Where to get fishing tackle equipment

I love waking up on an early April morning before the sun comes up for a full day of great fishing! The best days are the ones when you make it to the boat ramp just as the sun is barely breaking through the grey sky on the horizon, and the water on the lake looks like a sheet of glass. This is every fisherman’s dream because you know it is going to be a wonderful day.

Fishing Tackle Equipment

Here is an excellent story on fishing tackle equipment for the year-round fishermen…

I found this story on WREX news site.

Roger Alfors is a veteran ice fisherman who has been in the sport for nearly 20 years. He thinks this is an excellent choice for fisherman who do not get enough fishing done during the warm months.

What’s his secret?

“I’ve got some lures that are made in Sweden,” he says. “They’re called fiskas.” They are excellent for catching panfish during the winter months.

If you are interested in getting into ice fishing make sure you get the essential fishing tackle equipment.

Eric Hallin, a fishing expert at sporting goods store Gander Mountain, says you can get your start in ice fishing at a fairly low price. “For just your basic rod-reel combo, a few jigs, it’s about 50 dollars to start out with, which is not really that expensive,” he says. I know I have spent much much more than 50 dollars on fishing tackle equipment for merely a weekend trip in my experience. Therefore, 50 dollars is a very affordable price to start this hobby.

If you’ve never ice fished before, there’s still plenty of time on the calendar. Experts say you can usually ice fish on Pierce Lake until the second or third week in March. So get your ice fishing tackle equipment and get out there before it is too late!
